Piezo stage is the common name for a piezo nanopositioner: a flexure guided stage driven by a piezoelectric actuator with an integrated sensor and closed loop feedback control. Piezo stages provide smooth, repeatable motion over distances of up to 500 microns with sub-nanometer resolution. Mad City Labs uses ultra-low noise, proprietary PicoQ® technology combined with true flexure guided motion to build piezo stages that achieve consistent, sub-nanometer accuracy.
